About Toyota Tacoma Shocks and Struts

The shocks are responsible for keeping you comfortable and eliminating the effect of rough roads to ensure that your tires are in constant contact with the ground. Faulty suspension components on your car can leave you in a world of trouble, so you must keep them in proper shape. You can get new Tacoma shocks at AutoZone from brands you know and trust.

When to Replace Your Shocks and Struts

If your shocks or struts are faulty, they will cause symptoms you can't easily overlook. Your handling and stability won't be as solid as they once were, and the vehicle will feel bouncier over bumps or rough patches of road or lean to one side while going around a turn. For most owners, a set of shocks or struts should last around 80,000 miles, but this will vary based on the type of roads you predominantly drive on. If you drive your Tacoma only on well-paved roads, you will get more life out of your suspension.

    Top Shocks for a Tacoma

Selecting replacement Tacoma shocks can be confusing as there are so many options out there. Narrow down just the parts that are compatible with your truck by entering its year, make, model, and engine size.

AutoZone carries Tacoma shocks from companies like Bilstein, Duralast, and KYB. Plus, with options like Free Next-Day Delivery on eligible orders and Same-Day In-Store or Curbside Pickup, you can get your hands on the new part with minimal effort and the shortest wait possible.

Had them installed on a 1998 Toyota Tacoma. Haven't driven it much since then but so far so good.

There were cheaper options, but decided to go with a strut that is known for quality and longevity. Used the Autozone tool loaner program for the spring compressor. Quality tools that they provide free!
