About
Honda Civic Trailer Hitch
What Size Hitch Fits On a Honda Civic
The Honda Civic hatchback is compatible with a few trailer hitches. Before selecting a tow hitch for your Honda Civic, make sure you sort by year, make, model, and engine size. Doing so will help you narrow down your options and make the right selection for your needs. However, most Honda Civic trailer hitches are class one hitches that carry up to 850 pounds. The receiver for these Civic hitches is 1.25 inches. How to Replace a Trailer Hitch
Trailer hitches aren't hard to replace and you can add one to almost any vehicle. The Honda Civic, for example, tows a surprising amount of weight for its compact size. To install a trailer hitch, begin by using jack stands or a lift to raise the vehicle. Then, remove the old trailer hitch by removing all of the necessary bolts. From there, line up the new trailer hitch and attach the new bolts. Ensure everything is tight before you start towing. When it comes to trailer hitches, AutoZone is the best place to shop. You'll come across the best products in the industry that are made from premium steel. Picking up parts is a breeze with Same-Day In-Store or Curbside Pickup. Plus, Free Next-Day Delivery is available on eligible orders.

I bought this hitch to haul my 80qrt cabelas cooler 2500 miles. It worked great with a hitch carrier. Easy to install. I was able to do it on my 2012 Honda Civic sedan without removing the exhaust. Only had to remove the heat shield and got it in no problem.

installed easily, worked great! Took my son and I a little over an hour to install. Every step is clear and easy to follow in the instructions. Looks like it has always been there it blends in so well.

I got this hitch for my civic to pull a 1200lbs trailer to Wisconsin from South Dakota it has worked amazingly but that u bolt supplied with the kit is weak I don’t know what it’s rated or graded at but I got less than 250 miles away from home into my 1100 mile journey and my trailer dropped as that u bolt broke and bent out luckily I was able to limp it 20ish miles into the nearest town and get to a hardware store and able to pick up a grade 8 u bolt of the same size and diameter along with the necessary tools I was able to get back on the road after about an hour to hour and a half of monkeying with it giving it a 4 star rating only because of the u bolt otherwise it would be a 5star product
