If you’ve purchased a Delphi FG1050 to FG1053 or FG1588, you’ll notice that it comes with an updated wiring kit. This wiring kit is to relocate the power and ground wires on the cover. Previously, the OE had the power and ground next to each other, which could cause an overheating issue. Delphi has relocated the power and ground to dissipate the heat. You’ll notice on the attached connector, the orange wires are the power and ground, and they are separated. Make sure to follow the instructions included in the box for all your wiring needs.
