Mazda Protege Brake Caliper

I got these last year to replace the original ones that were in really ruff shape. These looked like really good replacements. I bought two of these for rear, two Part#19-B2608 for front. They performed excellent. New calipers, pads, and rotors and everything was rolling real smooth and braking was very comfortable.\r\n\r\nA year later and I just had my rear driver's side fail while sitting in a drive-through. Brake fluid everywhere, made quite a mess. At first I was hoping it was 'just' a brake line failure, but after further inspection the caliper itself has failed. I am just thankful it happened sitting still cause it was no smooth loss. It went straight from brake pressure fine to no pressure on the brake pedal at all.\r\n\r\nI am not sure if I was just unlucky enough to get one that was not properly remanned or what. I have had no issues with the other side, nor with the fronts. So I'm still going to give it a 3/5. Appears to be some quality control issues. Could have caused a severe accident should it have happened on the highway I was about to get onto after the drive-through. I just recommend a complete inspection before you go installing them.
