Anonymous12 days agoVerified PurchaseRecommendedI sprayed this conditioner on two different serpentine belts--the original (older belt), and on a cheaper newer belt. The chirping sound became less audible. But after cleaning the pulleys with brake cleaner, and wiping dry, the light chirping on my 2007 honda accord was only barely noticeable only on start-up. I still decided to buy the Gates quality belt, and proceeded to spray the inner groves with the conditioner. Voila! Not a peep, even in cold weather start up. Depending how picky you are, cleaning the pulleys and using the conditioner should do the job, but I decided to also go with the better quality belt, (wish I bought that at the start). Applying the conditioner to the new belt covered all the angles :)Helpful?

P.S.22 days agoVerified PurchaseMy belt was squeaking I bought the conditioner to stop a squeak but I should have known better I should know better. I know if your belt is squeaking there's only one reason, something's wrong and conditioner is not going to fix it but I tried anyways just because it's cheaper, quicker and easier than finding the real problem. It didn't work it tricked me a couple times and worked for a moment but all in all it didn't work. We should all know better but you know when you're desperate you just hope and pray. Not a bad product I just never seen belt conditioner in my 55 years actually work longer than the next startup of the vehicle.
