Ratings
The trailer brake controller is generally well-received, with users finding it easy to install and providing good adjustability when towing heavy trailers. However, some customers report a delay in brake application, which can be a safety concern. Compatibility with the user's vehicle may also be an issue for a few. Overall, the controller is considered a good, affordable option, but buyers should ensure it suits their specific towing needs.

This unit is time delayed not instant.
Derick3 years agoSweepstakes EntryThis unit is horrible. Wasted alot of money and cant return it bc i cut the plug end off to install directly i to my truck. This unit begins a timer when u press the brakes and u must wait over 4seconds before the power voltage ramps up to the trailer brakes. Nearly crashed towing a 14klbs 38ft 5th wheel when i purchased this unit in a parking lot of parts store. This unit is dangerous bc its not instantly sending brake power when brakes are applied. For instance, When someone hits brakes in front of your vehicle u must first wait 4 seconds then the trailer brakes are applied and by the time it stops you are already 4 seconds too late and too far. I recommend buying a much better controller that is not time delayed. Goodluck

Great price, easy to install
Dave3 years agoVerified PurchaseRecommendedSweepstakes EntryWorked great. Be certain you have a correct harness to attach to the vehicles electrical buss. The unit had 12g wire and after splicing vehicle harness (18g wiring) to a connector with 12g wiring, it worked just fine.
