Great filter, fits perfectly.
Jj1 year agoVerified PurchaseSweepstakes EntryI was at the dealership to get my oil changed. It’s sad a DIY like me can’t do an oil change on my wife’s car because you need it on a lift to get the protective cover off underneath to access the pan and filter. It sits way too low and to try to get a jack under it, you can’t unless you want to crack the plate or bend a panel. Anyway, they told me I needed a cabin filter and air filter and was going to charge $170 for both. That includes labor and parts. I said I’ll wait till next time. They also said the tech checked it and they were both dirty. Well, I went online to find both at a parts store. The cabin filter was $17.99. And 9.99 for the air filter. But before I went and purchased them, I opened my hood, thinking I thought I changed the air filter less than a year ago. For one, we put in maybe 3-4 thousand miles a year on this car. The air cleaner was like brand new. It was still white and clean. Some tech right? Then I checked the cabin filter, it was a little Dirty. So I put a new one in anyways. I kept the old filter just to show them next time I went in . What con artist they are. They probably wasn’t going to change the filters and just charge me anyway. The average person who relies on this sort of service, probably get ripped off and don’t know it. Who’s going to check it if you’re not mechanically somewhat inclined. I work on my own trucks at home because for one they are 20 plus years old and trust very few to work on them if it’s internal. So be careful when you go to your dealership and they said you need filters. It’s easy to do and takes less than a few minutes to check them.Purchased for: 2017 Kia optima, 1996 f150, 2005 Chevy Silverado, 2001 Toyota 4runner. 1994 Toyota 4x4 Pickup.Helpful?
