The 2-Pin and 3-Pin Brake Rewind Adapter Tool can be used with any 3/8" ratchet to quickly and easily reset left- and right-handed brake caliper pistons during disc pad replacements and other repair. The universal design of this versatile tool adjusts to fits many foreign and domestic applications, eliminating the need for a high-priced, multi-piece set. Constant pressure is applied by the sliding pins during use, reducing slipping and potential damage that other removal methods could cause. For durability, an electroplated coating protects the tool from corrosion and harsh chemicals, guaranteeing a lifetime of use.
- Effortlessly rewind two- and three-pin rear caliper pistons during the replacement of brake pads on foreign and domestic vehicles
- Replace expensive, multiple-piece sets with one tool instead of always wasting time finding the correct adapter for each application
- Attaches to ratchets or existing caliper rewind tools with a 3/8" square drive
- Electroplate coating durable enough withstand against corrosion and caustic chemicals, including brake fluid
- Sliding pins adjust to provide a working range of .95" to 1.5" of spread

Review Summary
The brake caliper tool appears to be of poor quality and design. Many users reported issues with the tool's functionality, such as the pins not staying in place, the tool slipping, and the overall unstable construction. Awful. Don't buy.
AUSTIN2 days agoVerified PurchaseJust awful. Doesn't stay locked in place, nor does it have a way to apply pressure to push the caliper in while turning. I'd return it if I could, instead I threw it away.Helpful?
- ANTHONY14 days agoVerified PurchaseMaybe I was using it wrong or just not patient enough, but it didnt work when I tried to rotate the piston head on my ILX. Ended up using a prybar

Good tool
Anonymous1 month agoVerified PurchaseRecommendedI have a 2013 Ford Escape. Tool has a two pin and three pin side for piston compression. Despite my piston having the two inlets, i used the three pin side to compress. That cube tool with multiple pins did not fit at all.Purchased for: 2013 Ford EscapeHelpful?

Brake caliper piston tool
DIY Zorro3 months agoVerified PurchaseSmall and difficult 2 nubs in place. No pressure applying the piston down, only turns. Tool just spins but never pushed piston down as easy as explained at store. Better to rent the correct kit than waste time.Purchased for: 1998 Mercury Sable LEHelpful?
Don’t waste your money or risk you sanity.
Frustrated3 months agoCan’t keep pins from adjusting position and tool slips. Plus absent a bracket/screw mechanism other tools have you can’t press and turn so on my Jetta the cylinder simply laughs at me and does not retract. Spend the extra money for a proper tool. Back to the store in the morning. Ugh!Helpful?
Just don’t.

Poor design
Jim K3 months agoVerified PurchaseThis tool was a pain to use. The pins that set into the bow tie recession in the piston face float to adjust for different piston diameters, but there is nothing to lock them in place so they needed to be constantly adjusted while rotating the piston in. I would not recommend buying it.Purchased for: 2011 Impala LT.Helpful?
Doesn't work
Cam3 months agoVerified PurchaseThis tool did not work for me. Feels flimsy and wouldn't turn the caliper piston. I ended up renting the tool kit from AutoZone, which did better.Purchased for: 2005 Ford Mustang.Helpful?

Does not live up to expectations
Wes4 months agoVerified PurchaseTerrible. It was difficult to use and did not allow for the leverage you need. I highly recommend the tool that pushes in and turns simultaneously. And that tool was only 60 bucks. This was a waste.Purchased for: 2017 Ford Explorer sportHelpful?
