KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
Car brakes work by leveraging three main principles of physics: leverage, hydraulics, and friction.
When changing your brake pads, be sure to inspect and replace your rotors and hardware if necessary to ensure optimal braking performance.
If your brakes squeal until you press the pedal down, it may be your wear indicator telling you to change your pads.

A little more careful on detailed information
Ryan1 year agoVerified PurchaseRecommendedSweepstakes EntryHad the parts in stock as needed to finish my brakes. Would recommend autozone invest more time and money into double checking part numbers correct with sub models of vehicles. for example, 2005 vw golf had leftover GLI parts thus big brakes. Bigger brake carriers were never asked and the one worked on had them sending everyone into a tailspin as to why the pads were sticking out past the rotor after everything fully mounted. A bit of digging come to find out that some of the 05' models had leftover parts from other chassis like the Jetta GLI. No big deal, stoked to find out this golf has big brakes and makes stopping more enjoyable. Will be back for more needs!Purchased for: 2005 VW Golf GTI 1.8THelpful?

Brad5 years agoVerified PurchaseRecommendedAt first my son and I went to another auto parts store and received an incorrect rotor. We tried to tell them it was not the rite part but they insisted that it was cuz that’s what there computer said. Then we went to autozone and got the correct part first time. Awesome! Installed and it worked and fit properly. Ty autozone!Purchased for: 02 F150 Harley edition, 14 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 05 Dodge Ram, 01 gtiHelpful?
