Part fits and works (doesn’t hit ac compressor)
John8 months agoVerified PurchaseFor those saying that the fun doesn’t fit, you need to loosen the belt first, remove old fan clutch, put the new fan clutch on, tighten fan clutch, then tighten the belt. It was rubbing the compressor for me at first but I just had to loosen beltHelpful?
Fair price. Quality parts.

Seems to be working!
Swampy1 year agoRecommendedSweepstakes EntryI bought this fan clutch because the one I purchased from O’Reilly worked for one day then stopped. I returned it and picked up this one. So far after installing it it seems to be working better than all the other ones I had (it’s possible I never truly had a working fan clutch). When it gets to operating temp it gets loud when the rpm’s increase and you can hear it pulling a lot of air. I hope this works and last a while, that’s the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars. I only just got it today (8/10/24) we’ll see how long it last.Purchased for: 1988 Jeep Comanche with 1996 Jeep 4.0 engine.Helpful?

Does sound like a freight liner truck fan.
Keith4 years agoVerified PurchaseRecommendedSweepstakes EntryReally pulls the air through the radiator. You can really hear it drawing air. My 21 year old OEM clutch was shot on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee. Direct bolt on, I had to put a washer under each bolt because the bolts bottomed out before getting tight against the fan blade!Purchased for: 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 motorHelpful?

John5 years agoVerified PurchaseRecommendedSweepstakes EntryMy 98 Jeep Cherokee XJ standard shift had 175K miles. In AZ temps just dropped below 90 Nov. 1. Fan clutch does have a whine if shifting RPMs go high but not terrible.Purchased for: 98 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl. standard shift, 175K milesHelpful?

Works great
Gary O6 years agoRecommendedSweepstakes EntryThis unit fit my 99 Jeep Cherokee XJ perfect. Moves plenty of air for cooling and fits like a glove. I would suggest: 1 Look at the clearances of the one you have before you remove it. 2 Take your old unit with you and compare it with this one ( they should be close in height ). 3 This should be an obvious test for fitment. 4 Enjoy!Purchased for: 1999 Jeep Cherokee XJHelpful?

Ja6 years agoVerified PurchaseThe fan clutch was too short it impacted the front of the A/C clutch. Did not workPurchased for: 1990 Jeep CherokeeHelpful?
Works as expected
Matt man7 years agoVerified PurchaseRecommendedThe water pump recommended replacing the fan clutch at the same time. Not sure if that's applicable to my application since the fan isn't bolted onto my water pump. Replaced it anyway. Similar fit to the original. Seems to be working as expected.Purchased for: 1999 jeep cherokeeHelpful?
