Review Summary
The primer is reported to provide good coverage and work well as a base coat, though some users experienced issues with spray patterns and nozzle clogging. The quality is generally praised, but a number of customers felt the product was overpriced compared to alternatives. Overall, the primer appears to be a decent option, but may not be suitable for all applications.

Should have listened
Jason7 months agoThe complaints are valid. I assumed it was people that didn’t know what they were doing. Won’t spray well with the can tilted more than 15 degrees. Very little coverage. Drips because the spray hits the can as it’s coming out.Helpful?

Very high quality paint
F150 owner9 months agoVerified PurchaseRecommendedIt went on nice after i figured out to spray closer. I used it to prime bare steel where my rear bumper brackets attach to my frame. I sanded the surface down first with 180 grit, then degreased, dried it, then sprayed it. Id follow up with the raptor paint and then clearcoat for a perfect finish. ABSOLUTE TRASH PRODUCT
RICH1 year agoSweepstakes EntryABSOLUTE TRASH. Constant splatters/droplets of primer, covers poorly. Absolutely garbage product. AutoZone should not only refund me but reimburse me for the time it's going to take to sand this hood back down again. DO NOT BUY THISPurchased for: NONYA BIZNESSHelpful?

Very Good Results, but Overpriced
Bri-Bri1 year agoVerified PurchaseSweepstakes EntryHaving seen many positive reviews for this product, I decided to buy a can and try it for myself. My main complaint with primers is that they often clog sandpaper prematurely, which causes the trapped clumps to cause scratches after further sanding. This primer fared better than most, but it is overpriced and the Dupli-Color FP-101 and FP-102 primers are just as good and cost about $6 less per can!Helpful?
