It comes with a partial charge which wasn’t quite enough to fire up my truck but once charged (in just a short time) I placed it on my battery and it fired right up. We carry it with us just in case we see another motorist that may need a jump start. Using jumper cables is very risky on modern vehicles due to the many electronic components and computer system. Someone fortunately had one of these and gave me a boost. I couldn’t believe such a small battery could start my car. I took a picture of it and told myself I needed one of these. I got a new battery and went on my way. Upon arriving home after that roadtrip, my car died again. This time I bought the charger and the very next morning had to use it. It worked like a charm. The GB70 is overkill for my application, but I wanted to balance a good sized battery with size/cost. I went back to my truck, unpackaged the NOCO, and jumped my truck with the jump pack (uncharged, right out of the box). It started right up!
