Good for small cars
Cam78 months agoRecommendedJust installed this kit on my 17' corvette and there where some difficulties. To start the wires are all attached to the control box so working with all the cables can be a task. The main issue is the lack of wiring the front i could barely stretch to reach (control box in front passanger wheel well) then to go from the passanger to driver side for the side of the car it barely had enough wire to stretch across without routing it anywhere. Only areas I had enough wire for was the rear and the passanger side only because that's the side the control box is located. So after barely being able to install this kit i get it powered on and connected to the app with no problem except that the sides have a very noticeable gap in light where the strips have a jumper in between to reach farther. Overall would only recommend if you have a small car like a miata or golf for example or purchase a kit for each side of the vehicle for anything larger. I gave 4 stars because the product does work and is very bright the app could use some work as far as being able to easily switch color, I could only figure out how to do it per section so 4 times you have to make the same change. Debating buying another kit and redoing everything or maybe doing the FD kit and just give this one to a friend.Originally posted on typesauto.comNot enough wire
Read it9 months agoVerified PurchaseRecommendedI put this on my car and while the lights do work and you can change the color let it be noted that you have to change each side of the cars color 1 at a time and can’t select all 4 sides at once the 3M tape that holds it on is not bad at all very sticky the biggest downside of this and why I’m only giving it 3 stars is you cannot disconnect the lights from the controller so running them through everything and all that is a pain then on top of that they do not have enough wire to reach the battery posts I’ve installed this same kit on multiple cars the Chrysler 300, Mazda RX8, chargers and there is never enough wire and I have to splice in myPurchased for: 2009 Mazda rx8Helpful?

And the wire to my passenger door wasn't quite long enough to hide it And I have it draping across my floorboard. I'm guessing I can splice a longer four wire between? Don't waste your Money
Jim2 years agoTypeS LED Light strips set up was definitely poorly designed. With their Bluetooth connection technology, they obviously missed the boat on this segment. In order to get them to come on & STAY on, your phone basically has to be within 10 feet & in direct line of sight of the module. & To make matters worse, God forbid that your phone goes into "Sleep mode" or you navigate outside of the app, as the entire system will TURN OFF, forcing you to have to totally Restart the system. My suggestion is, Get you a set of Alpena instead. WAY BETTER Quality & functionality & options & configurations.Purchased for: 2020 Ford F150Helpful?
