This battery requires higher voltage, charging systems that do not exist in older vehicles! I bought a new battery on Friday in Silverthorne, CO for my 2005 Toyota forerunner and drove it to Labder Wyoming, and drove it back, where it died in the grocery store parking lot. It could not be jumped, I had to get my forerunner towed to a local shop. The battery was sulfated and ruined, there was nothing else wrong with my charging system in my vehicle. That’s when I learned the incompatibility of this type of battery with my type of car. My rub is that nobody at AutoZone told me any of this when I bought the battery. I took it back for a refund which I obtained, and I asked the clerk to show me if they had warnings in their computer system about selling this type of battery to owners of older cars, and there was nothing, so AutoZone is selling the incorrect type of batteries to people, and their own staff doesn’t know their customers are walking into a ticking time bomb. The AutoZone battery cost me an extra $800. That was for a tow, three Uber rides in Silverthorne, an Uber to the airport, shuttles back from the airport that I had to arrange because my vehicle was in the shop.Purchased for: 2005 Toyota 4 Runner 4 andHelpful?
