Bad product or bad advice?
Member 2143756559 years agoCompressor paperwork says use PAG 46 oil. Zone was out of 46 and clerk said would be fine to run PAG 100 because it was "universal". Compressor seized while charging system. Installed replacement, made it through charging but it seized a day later. Talked to tech line for the compressor manufacturer and they said under no circumstances should PAG 100 be used. Waiting for my 3rd compressor to come in and I'll flush the system (again) but will track down PAG 46 and see if it lasts more than 2 days.
